slight grinding feel when i step on the gas..?
i have a 99 dodge grand caravan, and i’m noticing a very slight (not heavy) grinding feel when i press on the gas after going from a complete stop. it’s an automatic, and has had one previous owner other than me, and she kept up on routine maintenance. i know dodge caravans are notorious for bad transmissions but, by 99 they ironed out alot of those kinks.
i checked the transmission fluid and it’s a clear red with no metallic flakes or smell to it. as a matter of fact it shifts just fine, no problems. it’s just that slight grind that i’m feeling on the gas pedal.

Throttle. Not gas. You don’t step on fuel. Anyway. The grinding you feel may be due to a bad spring in the throttle return or something is binding on the rod that actuates the throttle. those could be what you are feeling,
